Agreement to these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the CalmShield mobile application, website, or related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What CalmShield is, and is not

CalmShield provides self-help tools and educational content for anxiety and panic support. We are not a healthcare provider, clinic, or emergency service.

• •The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• •The Service is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
• •If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or a crisis line. Do not rely on the Service.
• •An optional weekly reflection recaps your logs. It is not clinical advice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with a parent or guardian's knowledge. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Subscriptions and purchases

Certain features may require a paid subscription later. Core panic tools stay free forever. If a subscription is offered, pricing, billing period, and renewal terms are shown in the app store listing at the time of purchase.

• •Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are billed and managed by those platforms under their terms.
• •Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• •Refund requests for app-store purchases must be directed to Apple or Google unless otherwise required by law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including:

• •Using the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws.
• •Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
• •Impersonating others or submitting false information.
• •Using the Service to provide emergency or crisis intervention on behalf of others without appropriate qualifications.

Your content

Journal entries, mood logs, and other content you create in the Service remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process that content only as needed to operate the Service (for example, optional sync, the weekly reflection you enable, or backups you request). We do not claim ownership of your personal reflections.

Intellectual property

CalmShield owns the Service, including its design, branding, audio, education content, and software. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our content except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy (including GDPR provisions for EEA and UK users), and where applicable, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for US state laws. Because the Service may process sensitive wellness information, we encourage you to read those policies carefully.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will prevent panic, reduce anxiety, or produce any specific outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalmShield and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you have not paid anything.

Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from app settings where available. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or safety reasons.
