Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 2026. Our commitment to an inclusive experience.
Our commitment
CalmShield aims to make the app and website usable for people with diverse abilities. We design for clarity, calm, and reduced cognitive load, especially important for users experiencing anxiety or panic.
App accessibility
The mobile app supports system font scaling, light and dark themes, and reduced-motion preferences where the operating system provides them. Core panic tools are designed to work with minimal taps and readable contrast on pastel surfaces.
- •Dark mode and night-panic mode for low-light use
- •Large tap targets on SOS and primary actions
- •Voice and audio alternatives for some journal and coaching features
- •Ongoing improvements based on platform accessibility APIs
Website accessibility
This website uses semantic HTML, keyboard-focusable controls, sufficient color contrast on body text, and respects prefers-reduced-motion for animations.
- •Skip-friendly heading structure
- •Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- •Alt text on meaningful images and icons marked decorative where appropriate
Known limitations
Some animated breathing demos and visual exercises may be difficult for users with vestibular sensitivity. We are working to ensure all core information is available in non-animated form.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact us at {email:support}. We will do our best to provide the information in an alternative format and improve the experience.
